A Day in ‘Safer at Home:’ Went to this restaurant called ‘THE KITCHEN.’ You have to gather all the ingredients and make your own meal. I have no clue how this place is going to stay in business.
Another Day in ‘Safer at Home:’ This morning I saw a neighbor talking to her cat. It was obvious she thought her cat understood her. I came into my house, and told my dog. We laughed a lot.
Eric Jorgenson for (whatever elective office he wants)! He understands economics better than anyone currently holding office.

Definitely on Level 3: Yogi. [I’d send pictures, but, and you’ll just have to trust me on this: you do not want me to send pictures]
I never have to worry about the cats talking to me. We haven’t been on speaking terms in something like, oh, say, their entire lives … I tolerate their presence almost solely for the sake of marital harmony. (And the fact that I hate the voles even more.)
Are we getting close to intermission time yet? I need a break.
Did you try just clicking on the image of the 2020 Gothic thing? It comes up clear and readable when I do that. All of the images come up full-size that way.
Not many of our elected officials understand economics in any meaningful way, and certainly not anyone on the right. We're well into Great Depression unemployment numbers and they're spouting Hoover's nonsense and threatening to close the Post Office (der Sturmtrumper said he'd veto any coronavirus bill that had money to keep it open past summer). This didn't end well last time.
Intermission would be good. Curtain would be better for this show, but I'll take what I can get.
Who said old dogs couldn't learn. Kinda like magic. Thanks!
Events have never ended well when rethuglicans had any influence at all.
Curtain, I'm afraid, is an indeterminate distance in the future. Intermission is, at least in theory, halfway there. I am anxiously awaiting anything resembling a formal break.
This is beginning to be like sitting down to watch Gone With the Wind for the very first time not knowing how long the movie is, realizing you need to pee at the end of the title cards, followed by an announcement from the management that the lobby doors will be locked until halfway through the movie, and vigorous questioning of the ushers fails to reveal the actual run-time of the movie.
Yikes indeed. There's a reason I've never sat through that movie. Actually a whole lot of reasons. I did make it all the way through Reds back in the 80s, though, and I like to think I've served my Big Important Movie time.
I'm actually so damnably busy now that I'm not really noticing the time go by - the problem with moving classes and meetings online is that they become incredibly more time consuming because everything you used to just DO suddenly becomes a formal process.
But a formal break would be really nice soon. No idea when it will actually happen (and the Darwin Award candidates insisting on public gatherings these days are just delaying it for everyone) but I'll enjoy it when it comes.

Oh, the cat understood her. It just didn't really care.
ReplyDeleteI'll start worrying when the *cats* start talking to *me*. :)
First one up: Truer words, et cetera.
